Sandi Coles, Chartered FCIPD, MSc, JP

Managing Director

Sandi Coles has been involved in HR as a generalist, and variously as a policy, diversity and learning and development specialist, for 30 years in both the public and private sectors. Over this period she has worked in HR in retail, in Adult Education institutions, a Training & Enterprise Council, a borough and a county council and fire & rescue service as well as with the Department for Communities & Local Government, the National Policing Improvement Agency, other Fire & Rescue Services, Yorkshire & Humberside Regional Fire Control Centre Ltd, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and small and medium sized private and charitable enterprises such as the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Ubbink Ltd and Solace BC.

She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (www.cipd.co.uk) and her Masters degree specialised in Training and Performance Management and the impacts of organisational culture. Sandi is also qualified as an assessor and internal verifier for NVQs in Management, Personnel and Development, Business Administration and Customer Service, and is trained, certified and experienced in the ‘Hay’ job evaluation methodology.

Sandi has been a magistrate on Northampton bench for both adult criminal and family matters since 2003. She is an associate member of the Institute of Directors (www.IOD.com)

Karen Marriott, Chartered MCIPD

Consultant

Karen Marriott began her career in public sector HR 13 years ago, starting as a Personnel Assistant before pursuing professional qualifications to achieve full Chartered Member status in 2005. During this time she has been an HR business partner to the Directors and Managers of Education and Community Learning, Social Care & Health, Public Protection and Sustainability, and the Fire & Rescue Service, providing them with HR support, guidance and advice and was seconded for 3 years to the Department for Communities and Local Government providing HR support and guidance to Fire & Rescue Services and Regional Control Centre Companies on the FiReControl project.

Karen has specialised in recruitment and assessment at all levels up to Director, and in dealing with case work, and is trained, certified and experienced in the ‘Hay’ job evaluation methodology.
